We people are the cruelest creatures on earth. We hurt those around us in so many ways, that no god, no matter how great and king could forgive us. It’s actually unbearable to watch pain around and understand that not even animals could react in such ways. That is, in fact, what makes us so fucking cruel: reason and judgement- doing harm with these leading us. Frightening is that we sometimes enjoy this process and it so much scarier for me. To cut the breasts of a woman so she can no longer feed her baby, to cut a man’s head off because he is of a different race, to strip one of skin just because you are in a war for power.

I could never fully understand cold blooded actions. These have behind them only reason, no religious belief or a history that determines it. Just the will for power and nothing against it. If we were to say that most wars were because of religion it was only because people used religion for their own purpose, justifying actions by quotes of holy books, regardless the name.  However, no matter the fight is had begun only because of lust for power. And power, the taste and sense of it make people cold, so cold that the only reason that makes them tick is keeping it and making it stronger, no matter the price or the methods. Cruelty is almost always involved and casualties are mostly those unaware of the war for what not. I am not a pacifist and I will never be, but I will never be able to understand how power or the quest for it can turn us into beasts. We have no excuse since reason and judgement are always at side, making each decision.

The collateral victims of such games are pitiful and can reduce one to tears. They only leave a bad taste in my mouth because it makes me so much more aware of out parts as mere strands in a web of life we could never ever have control of. Or know entirely. How can you kill me by giving me the reason of not having the right belief, the right colour, the right sex, the right nationality or the right political view? Not how, but what happens in the minds that executes the actions of killing from these mere reasons? What happens to their logic and their free thinking? How is it annihilated? By treat of death? I tend to think people confronted to it daily start thinking less of it as we make such a big deal of it.

It’s only part of the natural living process only we humans tend to make a big scandal; fuss out of it like it’s the end of the fucking world. People have been dying on this planet since we were less than Neanderthalians. So why do we bother? Actually, I tend to think that modern society tends to make a big fuss out of everything: from a rain in the middle summer (it’s the end the world of the world as we know it- global warming is gonna kill us all, to the smallest cold- it’s bird flu, we are all gonna die, save our souls, bla bla) But I’ve digressed.

Why is the authority that takes these decisions so infallible and therefore it must be respected? Not always those in power have the smartest brains? Is it fear, desire for a similar power, death, wealth, what the fuck makes people obey to decisions they would otherwise find aberrant? I could never quite understand desire for many goods, fortunes and what not: it’s not you can take them with you after you die, even in the Egyptians had a different opinion. A good life on this world? Come on, one which has more, will only be frustrated by his desire to have more, and nothing will ever be enough. So, what makes people obey decisions, orders and authorities that make them unhappy?

“I could never fully understand cold blooded actions.”
    Really?
